     These songs are selected from the third category of Scriptural music which is discussed in NOTES ON HYMNOLOGY AND CHRISTIAN MUSIC, which notes describe music that is pleasing to and authorized by The Only True God, the kind of music which was used exclusively in the early church. These songs were selected by Dr. Wittman as ones which express the two Advents of The Lord Jesus Christ. The first three selections relate particularly to the birth of The Lord Jesus; the next nine selections relate to both Advents, with emphasis on the reason for His first coming to the Earth; the last four selections focus on His coming in the air for His own to take us to be with Himself forever.
